This plaque is just one of thousands all over Germany representing those who died during the Holocaust. It was a project started in 2001 by an artist - I will figure out his name soon. There is also a website you can visit that gives you the names of all of the plaques that have already been donated. You are also able to donate towards a new plaque, but you have to provide proof and family history of the deceased.

Heart Felt Story - think it is a great project
Jakob Hess was euthanized by the Nazi army because he was physically handicapped and in a wheelchair as part of the T4 project. You have probably heard similar stories as told by thousands when it comes to the Holocaust. If you are like me, whether or not you were personally affected, you get that strange feeling in the pit of your stomach whenever you hear these awful truths. It is hard to believe that something like that could even occur, let alone in the 20th century.
